Quantified Self Meetup is a recurring event where anybody who is interested in the field of Quantified Self can come and be inspired by people from this field. This upcoming edition will consist of a ‘Show and Tell’ for (and with) people who take advantage of various personal self-tracking tools and methods to gain more knowledge about themselves, others and the world around them. Following this there will be poster presentations where students of the international minor Global Health & Quantified Self will present their personal projects. You can find the most up to date programme and register for this event through meetup.com.
Show and Tell | 13.30 - 14.30
We can already announce that two self-trackers will share their personal story with us: Ronald Fokkink and Ellis Bartholomeus. Ronald will give us insight into his self-tracking experiences with continuous blood glucose monitoring and lifestyle changes. Ellis will show us a very interesting type of mood tracking with ‘a face a day’. Other speakers will be announced soon.
Poster presentations | 14.30 - 15.30
Students from Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen, explored the aspects of globalisation and health that are linked to digital health and self-tracking. They designed and performed a self-experiment according to the principles of single-subject-design. They will present their results as infographics evaluating the results obtained by their personal projects.
Installation Gary Wolf | 16.00
In addition to the day's meetup activities, there will be a ceremony at 16.00 where Gary Wolf will be inaugurated as Visiting Professor at the Professorship New Business & ICT of Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen.
